Known for colourful nightlife and traditional English seaside pursuits, Brighton and neighbour Hove are the closest beach resorts to London, making them popular end points for classic car runs from the capital. Many end at the racecourse, a few streets from Brighton Marina, Europe’s largest, housing several shops and eateries. Many Brighton guest houses on Booking.com are also nearby.
Running along the beachfront is the world’s oldest operating electric railway, ending by Brighton Pier. Lit up at night and also known as Palace Pier, this city icon houses amusements and rides, and is one place to pick up some famous Brighton Rock, the confectionery sharing its name with an edgy Graham Greene novel set here.
A new addition, the Brighton Wheel is right by the pier, while one of its most famous attractions is the Royal Pavilion, a former royal retreat built in Indian style.
Just west are 2 of the most popular Brighton shopping spots – Churchill Square shopping centre and The Lanes with its narrow streets and unusual shops. This area also has several Brighton hotels with parking, and the Artists Quarter, a series of ex-fishing huts that are now galleries. The arts are a big thing here and Brighton Festival is the UK’s 2nd largest arts festival, while Brighton Pride is also a big event on the annual calendar.
I’ve stayed in Brighton numerous occasions. And would return. Unfortunately the property my partner and two pooches stayed in was in Hove and the run down side of Hove. Especially the property externally and the entrance hall which lead to the lifts. Upon arrival the lifts were working and then out of order for two days due to maintenance works being carried out. I was going to leave sooner. But my partner wished to stay considering we came far. I definitely would not return back.

Lively place, excellent beach front with loads to do, great places to eat and drink. Everything was in easy walking distance.
Felt very safe, never saw any crime or drunken aggressive behaviour. Everyone was friendly and easy going.
I liked it more and more the more time I was there.
We ate out each night and so much variety from fast food at Shelter Hall, although I sent my food back as it wasn't nice through to high end steak at The Coal Shed which was expensive but beautiful food and great staff. Giggling Squid was also a highlight. Gorgeous food, very lovely staff and reasonably priced.
Loads of places to shop and The Lanes is an experience in itself browsing the narrow twisting lanes with individual eclectic shops.
As you get off the train it doesn't give a great first impression, it looks a bit run down and grubby but as you get towards Hove it gets better and the seafront is amazing.
We went on i360 and that was great if not a little expensive for what was a very short time, 20mins start to finish at £37, glad we did it but wouldn't do it again.

The facade of Selina Hotel is a little deceiving.
The facade of Selina Hotel is a little deceiving. It is a very nice reception area with some interesting plants and a place to sit and enjoy a coffee or tea. The rooms small but clean and very comfortable beds. We had a nice view from the room. The radiator was a bit too warm and could've been adjusted but the other was switched off. Lucky with the weather which made a difference to getting around. It was a great location and plenty of clvariety at Preston Street for the many restaurants to choose from

It was a good choice for an early spring visit when the weather was cool. We were able to walk miles along the prom and paths at the foot of the cliffs. The town is lively and the Royal Pavilion well worth visiting. The bus service was excellent and we were able to visit other towns along the coast. There was a wide choice of resturants.

Brighton is wonderful! Lots to see and do. A variety of cafes, bars, restaurants to go to. So much choice.
I chose to eat at a wondeful Thai restaurant cakes Siam Siam. I chose vegetable tempura and then chicken massamam curry with sticky rice. It was incredible.
Also Artists Open Houses is on during the month of May, all around Brighton and surrounding areas. I visited 6 open house locations and saw and wonderful arts and crafts.
Beautiful architecture, wonderful old buildings.
A 1 night stay is not enough. I still haven't seen so much!

Love Brighton for long walks and shopping with plenty of places to eat & drink, like a lot of places post Covid it can be a bit scruffy and run down in places with empty shops but all the staff we came across were great, obviously gets a bit lively at times but the council have security patrols walking around during the day and evenings so feels safer than some places we've been.

Great location sitting overlooking the Marina. It’s about 1.5 mile walk along the front to the pier and central Brighton, we took an Uber in and decided to walk back along the beach path. Free parking just 2 min walk. The room we stayed in: a superior suite, was so nice. The bathroom was exceptional, large, well designed and so nice, I have to say that one of the best hotel bathrooms we have come across, and for a UK hotel a very pleasant surprise. Staff super friendly and helpful. I highly recommend this for a short stay in Brighton.
absolutely brilliant accommodation for any students wanting to stay in brighton over the summer!
the building is located in central brighton, a short walk from the beach, shops and clubs on the seafront. the room itself was comfortable, clean and modern, plus staff were friendly and helpful (they even stored our luggage after checkout since our train home wasn’t until later that evening!). the building itself seems pretty accessible too, with ramps/lifts where necessary!
overall a brilliant room, well worth the cheap price!
I loved that the property was walking distance from the pier and beach. So many restaurants nearby as well. The property was also cozy and quiet. The breakfast spread was filled with lots of delicious options and the staff was helpful and attentive. But what made the stay even better was the hotel manager Daniela. She was very welcoming, personable, and gave great recommendations of sights to see in Brighton. I would definitely recommend the Sea Spray for your stay in Brighton.
We loved the modern interior, new kitchen, excellent location near to all the shops and the beach front, 24 hr car park nearby - Regency Car park, our hosts asking us if we are happy with our apartment and is there anything else we may need to make our stay more comfortable on day 1, great communication leading up to our stay. The apartment had everything needed for a short stay in Brighton and plenty of space unlike some hotel rooms. 10/10 from us thank you
Fantastic Hotel , very well located , near to the beach/pier and restaurants. Staff are such a great team, lovely bar/restaurant, breakfast had vegetarian choices, oat milk, soy etc, attention to detail was spot on, the Hotel felt so loved and the unique design was brilliant. The rooms were bright and clean , good en suite with a nice shower, I loved the decor of the whole place. If I come back to Brighton I wouldnt want to stay anywhere else.
Great friendly welcome, cosy and interesting lounge/breakfast room - lots of artwork. The decor lives up to the hotel's name! Room a good size, very comfy bed, hot shower, air conditioning a huge bonus. Lovely breakfast - including vegetarian. Parking in nearby Regency Square. Very good value. Have stayed in many similar hotels in Brighton and found this one of the best.
The room was nice and spacious. The amenities were also nice, I really appreciate that they had a french press for coffee.
I booked this hotel specifically because it was one of the few with a gym. Really enjoyed the gym, it's not a particularly big one, but it was very clean and generally quiet.
The location is also very good, very close to the station and to the center.
The hotel was at a very convenient location, ~3min walk from the Brighton train station and bus stops to a variety of locations. Near the city centre and beach. The room was big and was fully equipped for a 5-night stay, with facilities for hot drinks in the room. The breakfast provided a variety of options (continental, full English, cereal, etc).
The best location. You can walk to the beach in a few minutes and its right in the center of all the cool bars and restaurants, lanes and shops. Perfect I reckon easy check in. Spotlessly clean. Very comfortable, stylish. Safe and compfortable.
What a great price, very best value.
It's a lovely place, the location is absolutely unbeatable - a block from the beach & right next to the main coach stop - and the staff are all friendly and helpful. Great en suite hotel bathroom for our room. Lots of power outlets in room.
Friendly staff, great location in Lanes, near all shops, fab restaurants and hotel/pub itself does good food, right near beach and Brighton Pavilion and taxi rank, breakfast really enjoyable and its brought to your room.
Perfect Location! Right on the seafront, and near the lanes so could easily go to all the little cobble shops. The breakfast was the best thing about the hotel! Very good service at breakfast too.
Quite a funny hotel - very central & close to Brighton beach! It is a youth hostel though, don't forget that, even when staying in individual rooms. Good facilities and bus connections nearby.
The hotel location speaks for itself. Right on the beach and very easy to find. I also really like the price of the hotel also. For a night or two, I would stay again.
The staff were great and the hotel was as expected given its age. The location is great, a few minutes walk from the Pier and the Lanes and right opposite the beach.
The room I had was bigger than I expected and it also had an onsuiet .which was nice. The hotel is a short walk to the beach and there are a variety of shops nearby.
I never been there because no key. when I reach on the place the property not leave the key, I try contact but the phone not work. I pay for the hotel.
